Our Tutoring Services

At Early Learners Tutoring, we specialize in the most important years of learning — Preschool through 2nd Grade. These early years set the stage for future success, and our tutors make sure children gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

  • Getting ready for school should be exciting, not stressful! We help young learners build early skills in letters, sounds, shapes, colors, numbers, and fine motor activities. Our sessions focus on playful learning that gets children confident and eager to start school.

  • Reading opens the door to every other subject. We support children with phonics, sight words, fluency, and comprehension, using engaging activities that bring stories to life. Whether your child is just beginning to blend sounds or already reading but needing a confidence boost, we meet them where they are.

  • Early math is about building number sense. We guide children through counting, addition and subtraction, patterns, place value, and problem-solving in ways that make sense for their age. Hands-on activities and visuals help make math less intimidating and more fun.

  • Some children need an extra challenge, and others thrive with creative outlets. Our enrichment options include STEM projects, art-based learning, storytelling, and critical thinking games — all designed to keep curious minds engaged and growing.

Meet the Founder

I’m Lisa Carlow, founder of Early Learners Tutoring. I am a certified Early Childhood–6 and ESL teacher with a degree in Education from Sam Houston State University — but more than that, I’m someone who has always been passionate about helping children discover what they can do.

My heart has always been in Early Childhood Education, because these first years are when children develop confidence, curiosity, and the skills they’ll carry through the rest of their schooling. I believe that when children feel supported and capable from the start, learning becomes something they love — not something they fear.

That’s why I built Early Learners Tutoring: to give families in Magnolia a place where their children can start strong, grow with confidence, and learn with joy.
